Circus is in town

Dustin came home yesterday and suprised Kolton, (and me) with tickets to the circus. I am not sure who was more excited out of the 3 of us. We knew that Kolton would love seeing all the animals and watching the show, but he suprised Dustin and me both with how much he enjoyed it all. Of all the acts, Kolton seemed to be most impressed with the elephants. Everytime they would come out, he would start shouting and clapping and wouldn't take his eyes off them. He and Dustin both enjoyed the dirtbikes in the cage, he talked a lot about how they went around and around and around but did'nt crash, and seemed very impressed by this. At one point I think I even heard him yell to them "be careful". He kept asking to see the tigers, but once they came out, I think he could sense something because he kept saying they looked sad. I have to agree, that part made me a little sad too. Overall, it was a great time, some part of me will miss the one on one things we are getting to do with him now. I hope to get a lot more of these memories in before the baby comes. Although I wasn't able to get many pictures I did get a few of Kolton's face intently watching the show. I have some video as well, but having trouble getting it uploaded, hopefully Dustin will figure it out for me soon. So enjoy the pictures for now.

Shower Time

Well its been a while since I have posted. I really have no excuses other then just being lazy. I haven't taken the time to download pictures but finally got around to it. So on to the updates.

I am now 31 weeks along. It seems like we have come so far, but to think I still have 9 weeks left, I feel like its never going to end. I am feeling pretty good overall, just try to avoid the heat as much as possible. Even the pools are too hot in the afternoons.
Some friends of ours got together and gave us a baby shower this past weekend. It was really great to have everyone here to celebrate this new baby. We are blessed to have so many friends and family to share in this time with us. Kolton is getting very excited for his baby brother to get here. Right now, I am wishing we had a name picked out so that we wouldn't have to refer to him as "baby brother" to Kolton, but all in due time. Here are some pictures from the day.

Big Brother Kolton wanting to help

On Sunday, Dustin decided to fix the crib and move the mattress up. When Kolton saw Dustin go get his "tools" out of the garage he decided he needed to help. This is a video of Kolton (and Dustin) fixing the baby bed. If you listen closely you can hear Kolton telling us he is fixing it for his baby brother. It was really sweet how much he wanted to help, and how proud he was to do it all by himself. I even caught myself getting teared up just watching him want to be a part of all this. I couldn't be more proud of Kolton and the love he already shows for his little brother.
