Oil Ranch and Pumpkin Patch Fun

Fall is here...and we FINALLY got some cooler temperatures to go along with it. A couple weeks ago we decided to load up the kiddos, and go to the Oil Ranch and Pumpkin Patch near Magnolia. The whole ride there, Kolton and Lucas kept talking about the pony rides, the hay ride and feeding the cows, and most importantly, the train. Kolton was most excited about taking Kason for his first train ride, so of course that was our first stop. Kolton loved the tunnel, and the fact that there were cows on the track and they had to blow the whistle for them to get out of the way. Once we got off the train, it was off to the cow milking. Kolton, who is normally fearless, wouldn't touch that cow to save his life. I was really hoping for the photo opportunity but decided it wasn't worth the fight. So off to the pony rides, now this is right up Kolton's alley, although he was very upset that Kason couldn't ride with him but he enjoyed himself and proceeded to tell Kason all about it. Now off to the hay rides...little did the boys know they were gonna get to hand feed the cattle. Their eyes lit up when they saw the cows running after the trailer. This was a first for Kolton, he LOVED it, that is until he got licked on the cheek by one very hungry cow. They also had a mini hay maze set up. Surprisingly, it only took Kolton a few minutes to figure his way out, but he insisted on going through it several times. Just before we left, the boys each got to pick a pumpkin to take home, I never thought that would be a hard task..boy was I wrong. They both had to have just the right one. In the meantime, I thought it a perfect opportunity to get a shot of Kason in the pumpkins, it was a little chilly so I only got 2 shots....better then nothing, right? Overall, Kolton and Lucas had a great time, and Kason, well he just slept pretty much the entire time. Here are a few pictures from our day of adventures...
