Family Pictures

Before the baby comes, I wanted to get some family pictures done. I was hoping to do this sometime back in June or July, but time just got away from me. Dustin was kind enough to surprise me for my birthday last week and schedule for us to have some done. Although I was not that thrilled about having my picture taken while being 9 months pregnant, we did get a couple of good shots, so I thought I would share.

As far as a baby update, I am now 37 weeks and 2 days. I would love to say we have scheduled our c-section but we have not made it that far yet. I am down to weekly doctor visits, and each week we get told lets wait one more week and see if anything is happening. We will not be doing anymore ultrasounds so as far as the growth of the baby, we don't know just how big he is...just that we are expecting another big boy who may very likely give Kolton a run for his money on the weight when he does finally arrive. As far as I am concerned, this baby can't come soon enough but I just have to keep telling myself God will bless us with our newest addition when the time is right.

Kolton is getting very excited. He says he is ready to meet his little brother and hold him. As you can see in this picture, he loves to hug his brother. I only hope the excitment doesn't disappear when he realizes that the baby will be staying here permanently. I truly feel he will step right into the big brother role without a hitch.

Next week Kolton starts school...if his orientation today is any sign of how he will transition, we have no worries. After we left him in the room with the teachers for a couple hours, I was expecting to return to a screaming Kolton, and to be told he cried the entire time. Much to my surprise, we got 2 thumbs up from both teachers and was told he didn't cry a single tear. When we walked into the room, he was sitting at the table with his fellow students eating a snack. He simply looked up at Dustin and I and said "hi mommy, hi daddy I'm eating snack" then proceeded to tell us about the picture he painted. He is just showing me more each day how much he is growing up and I could not be more proud of my little boy. I will be posting again after his first day next week with pictures.

Love to you all...
