Even though Kolton gets lots of love and attention, I have tried to plan a lot of activities focusing on him these last couple weeks. Our first outing was to Disney on Ice. We took Dustin to work that morning in Houston so I decided the boys and I would go to the Downtown Aquarium. The weather could not have been more perfect. There is a train that goes through a shark tunnel that Kolton could not get enough of and because he was in charge, we rode it 4 times in a row before he was ready to move on to the next thing. At the end of the aquarium tour they have a white tiger exhibit. Kolton and I both loved this. Luckily the tiger was pretty active and interested in all the people walking by. It was a very neat experience for Kolton being that the only thing between them was about 8 inches of glass. At one point we even got a close up of the tigers teeth when he got a little agitated with Kolton's jumping around. After playing there, it was time to pick Dustin up and head to the Disney on Ice show. I choose not to tell Kolton where we were headed and to let him be surprised when Mickey Mouse came out...my plan worked. Kolton nearly fell off his chair with excitement and couldn't take his eyes off Mickey. The entire show Kolton sat with his jaw open and filled with excitement. Our latest outing was to the Woodlands Children's Festival, we watched Barney perform, played lots of games, and made even more crafts. It was a long and exhausting day, but Kolton had lots of fun and didn't want to leave after hours of walking. I am looking forward to taking Kolton to Santa's Wonderland in the next few weeks, and celebrating his 3rd birthday. and now for the pictures...
